Ambiente was once again held in Frankfurt at the beginning of February this year. We from the Kurz Kurz Design team were also there and had a look around.

One of our long-standing partners, the Küchenprofi Group with its four brands Küchenprofi, Zassenhaus, Cilio and Spring, was also represented at Ambiente. Their spacious trade fair stand was designed by Kurz Kurz Design and implemented with the help of the Schmitz & Schüller joinery.

The light + building trade fair was held in Frankfurt for the first time since 2018. There, under the motto "Green Light for Tomorrow", Steinel presented numerous innovations developed with Kurz Kurz Design, from sensor to outdoor luminaire series.

Vodafone and partner company Smart-Klima today announced a new smart home gadget, the Klimagriff. The climate handle replaces the conventional window handle. It can test the air quality in the room via its integrated sensors. Humidity, room temperature, volatile organic compounds and the CO2 content of the air in the room are recorded.

German Design Award for Galaxy pressure cooker

Galaxy is the new innovation from Carl Schmidt Sohn. The pressure cooker developed with Kurz Kurz Design has been awarded the German Design Award 2020 in Frankfurt.

Steinel Spot - Strong design. Strong performance.

The sturdy spotlight heads can be swivelled horizontally (180°) and vertically (90°), can be easily adjusted to suit requirements and can be and provide perfect illumination around the house. The attractive spotlight series is available in different versions. The Bluetooth-based connect version can be wirelessly networked and adjusted and controlled via app. The creation of groups and the naming of lights can also be conveniently carried out via App.

Steinel XLED ONE

Surprisingly efficient. The XLED ONE wall and ceiling spotlight is available with and without sensor. Warm white 3000 K, 2550 lm and a powerful reflector in both versions ensure perfect illumination around the house - and thanks to energy-saving 23 W, bright eyes for the owners. The LEDs installed in the spotlights promise an amazingly long service life of a good 30 years.

Sigo - first charging station in Darmstadt

Cargo bikes are useful to to transport large things from A to B. The start up from Darmstadt Sigo plans to create a network of stations for rentable e-bikes. This could relieve traffic in cities. In this project Kurz Kurz Design took the role as partner in design questions.

Spring - new fair stand at ambiente 2020

Premium brand Spring showed up with a new fair stand in Frankfurt. The exhibiting at the fair designed by Kurz Kurz Design visualizes "cooking with professional claim" and connects the forward-thinking direction of the brand with it's tradition.

mySodapop – news at ambiente 2020

In Frankfurt Sodapop presented their first closed system of an premium soda maker. The door made of stainless steel is closed while the soda maker is working. On the back there is a second CO2 cylinder for a more comfortable reloading process. The system is available in colourways copper, silver and white.

At the beginning of July, the manicure series TWINOX® M and TWINOX® Gold Edition developed with us were awarded in Essen. Both series were designed specifically for target groups and brands and lovingly and functionally designed down to the last detail.

STEINEL CAM light - Product of the Year

We are very pleased that the camera sensor light "CAM light " was voted "Product of the Year " in the category Technology by BaumarktManager Magazin. The winners in the four categories Building, Gardening, Technology and Living were determined by the expert evaluation of a top-class jury. The evaluation was based on the criteria innovation, bestseller, utility, price, sustainability and PoS presentation.

Internorga - M 50 multi-functional kitchen machine in stainless steel

AlexanderSolia presented the innovative multi-functional kitchen machine M 50 at the Internorga. As the first implementation of the new Corporate Product Design developed by Kurz Kurz Design, the modular construction concept meets the increased requirements of the professional kitchen. Function, flexibility and quality, as well as easy tool changes and intuitive operation up to the digital user interface are important focal points here.

Dineus Award for Zassenhaus Coffee Grinder MANAOS

For the first time, the DINEUS Award recognized the top achievements of the tableware industry and is aiming to create more public awareness in the culture of a set table - it is the great prize of tableware. As part of the fair "tradition" the international prize was awarded in 2019. The Kurz Kurz Design MANAOS Coffee Grinder for Zassenhaus along with the other products from e.g. ASA, Rosenthal, Mono, Le Creuset as well as Stelton were all awarded.

iF design award for HIFIMAN R2R2000 HD Streaming Audio Device

We are happy to announce that HIFIMAN R2R2000 will be awarded on March 15th an iF design award in the BMW World in Munich. This device is the World´s First High Definition Audio SHDC Bluetooth Streaming Device.
It can be connected via USB-C / Bluetooth to other devices such as smartphones, computers headphones or speakers and allows the highest digital music enjoyment in hi-fi quality. The noble, black and matt R2R2000 is milled from an aluminum block and has a wedge-shaped basic shape. Hifiman is an American-Chinese company known for its top-of-the-line headphones.

iF Design Award for iGurt by BPW - Intelligent Cargo Restraints

We are happy to announce that BPW received the second trophy: the ceremony of the iF design award will be on March 15 in the BMW World in Munich. When it was introduced to the market at the IAA Commercial Vehicles, the innovative iGurt was awarded second place in the "Trailer Innovation 2019".

Great pleasure for us and our customers: six times this year, Kurz Kurz Design received the coveted iF Design Award. The award ceremony took place on 9 March with around 2,000 guests from 40 countries in the BMW World, Munich.

Zwilling Beauty - new premium manicure series, ambiente 2018

Zwilling Beauty presented two manicure series designed by Kurz Kurz Design: the TWINOX M and the TWINOX Gold Edition.
For both premium series, innovative technologies such as MIM (metal injection molding) and scratch-resistant coatings (PVD and carbon) are being used for the first time, enabling increased cutting performance and durability. Individual scissors and instruments were developed for the respective target group.

Rösle - Children's cutlery & Cutting board series, ambiente 2018

In Frankfurt, RÖSLE celebrated its 130th anniversary under the motto "From family to family" and presented the new children's cutlery designed by Kurz Kurz Design and a cutting board series.

WILO in brand eins - "We are the ones with the pumps"

"How do you make a brand with radiance out of an unknown world market leader?" Answers are available at Wilo in Dortmund.

Kurz Kurz Design has been accompanying Wilo as a design partner for over ten years. In its current issue, the business magazine "brand eins" reports on the successful company with 7600 employees and a turnover of 1.33 billion euros (2016).

3M - the fascination of adhesive technology!
