German Design Award - Newcomer 2016

Eva Müller wins German Design Award - Congratulations, dear Eva!

The winner of the German Design Award as a Newcomer 2016 completed her BA degree in Industrial Design at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. During and after her studies she worked as a freelancer until December 2015 at Kurz Kurz Design.

The reasoning of the jury: Their versatile work is reflected in their portfolio, in which technical devices have their place as well as home accessories. The designs are always based on a strong basic idea and convince by their novelty and clean execution. The designs of the graduate possess high functional quality and convince by their obvious design - without renouncing an occasional wink.

Eva Müller had to prevail against more than 150 nominated young designers who were nominated for this award by German design academies this year.
"After being nominated for the finalist circle in November 2015, my thought was that being there is everything - it was only when I was called to the stage that I thought I could become it. A great feeling that my work will be honored! I could not have wished for a better career start. "

She has just started working for Vorwerk & Co. KG in Wuppertal. In cooperation with the company she already designed her bachelor thesis.
