3M - the fascination of adhesive technology!
That was the topic of the in-house exhibition at 3M in Düsseldorf. Kurz Kurz Design has visited the 2-day programm attended by 3M automotive with numerous exciting presentations on the latest innovations in this field.
In addition to lectures such as "BonNDTinspect® Test System - Quality Glueing" by Dipl. Phys. Kai Brune, (Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Applied Materials Research) , and "Multimaterial Mix Made Easy" by Dr.-Ing. Michael Frauenhofer (Audi AG, Head of Technology Development Bonding) , there was the opportunity to visit the 3M Exhibition & Innovation Tour .
Afterwards Dr. Sascha Peters (Haute Innovation) gave an insight into the 3D printing scene with the lecture "Multimaterial Mix in 3D Printing" with new potential for industrial production. Dr. Mario Otte, (3M Germany GmbH, Head of Research and Development, Automotive and Aerospace Solutions Division) gave an overview of the innovation process in creating new solutions - "The 15% Rule at 3M - Myth or Reality".
Prof. Lutz Fügener from the University of Pforzheim, Department of Transportation Design spoke about "Engineering and Design - Optimization through Compromises" - How design and engineering in a catalytic interaction realize new product requirements in the development process.
The lecture of the last speaker Dr. Henning Beck - Brain Researcher, Author, German Master Science Slam ends with "Biology of the Brain - Analogue Thinking in the Digital World" - Why the best ideas arise analogously, not digitally.
