Kind + Jugend 2025 Cologne

From September 9 to 11, 2025, Kind + Jugend 2025 transformed Cologne into the global meeting place for the baby and toddler equipment industry. Around 800 exhibitors from 43 countries presented their new products, bestsellers, and current trends in seven themed worlds. Kurz Kurz Design took a look around.

Around 15,000 trade visitors from 108 countries took advantage of the leading trade fair to gain inspiration, expand their networks, and experience the industry's most important developments up close.

"Kind + Jugend 2025 once again demonstrated its importance for the international baby and toddler equipment industry. The positive response from exhibitors, who particularly praised the high quality and internationality of the trade visitors in their discussions with us, underlines that this trade fair is the industry's leading business and innovation platform," summarizes Oliver Frese, Managing Director of Koelnmesse.

Focus on innovations and trends
Innovation was once again the central theme of Kind + Jugend 2025. In the new Trend Space – Playground for Innovation, Networking & Knowledge, the products of the winners and nominees of the Innovation Award were showcased as part of the exhibition of the same name. At the awards ceremony on the first day of the fair, a jury of midwives also presented the additional "Midwives' Choice" award in collaboration with hebammen-testen.de. Both awards generated considerable attention and set the tone for three days of innovations and inspiration.

The Consultation & Knowledge Hub offered a diverse program of presentations, panels, and discussions, providing the trade audience with valuable insights into upcoming developments and market trends. This program was complemented by individual consultations from Karin Wahl on POS design and product presentation, as well as from Stefan Barksby of TrendBible on the use of micro and macro trends.

The prevailing trends in the exhibition halls also reflected the industry's diverse and future-oriented approach: Solutions that offer children safe, yet self-determined experiences, products with a wow factor, from extraordinary designs to multi-sensory experiences, set the tone, as did multifunctional and scalable concepts that adapt to the changing needs of families. At the same time, sustainable materials and recycling ideas occupied a firm place in the innovation spectrum, complemented by ergonomic solutions and the increasing use of smart, digital technologies that make everyday life more intelligent and efficient.
